Brainspotting

Brainspotting focuses on identifying, processing, and releasing trauma, imbalances, emotional pain, and a variety of other challenging symptoms. It works with the brain and body through its direct access to the autonomic and limbic systems within the body’s central nervous system.
A practitioner will assist you scan your vision field to locate a “brainspot” which is an eye position that activates trauma or negative emotion. By identifying a brainspot, you target an area directly related to the negative issue you are working on. It reaches a part of the brain that is not accessible through talk therapy. While you focus on the brainspot and notice bodily sensations, you are able to process negative emotions to help rewire your brain to make positive associations or feelings.

Card Healing

Using divination tools have been around for thousands of years in most indigenous cultures.

Oracle Cards provide guidance from the spiritual realm, helping you to tap into your higher self. The messages are compassionate and always for the highest good. Oracle cards do not predict, they project the potential trajectory of your current choices. The cards can even be used to identify emotional or spiritual blocks so that you can find some ease and more easily flow in the direction of your desires. A reading gives you the opportunity to express your free will to either change the course or keep the course of your current choices. Card readings can be a useful tool to view your experiences from an alternative and often times, healing perspective.

Crystal Healing

Similar to plants and living organisms, crystals have internal vibrations, or Chi energy. Gemstones and crystals carry spiritual and healing properties that may facilitate a faster healing process.

Utilizing select crystals for their unique properties, crystal therapy is an alternative holistic technique as another form of energy work. The crystals act as conduits, or channels, for positive energy flow that enter the body. The purpose of this technique is to remove heavy or negative energies, thus allowing you to heal faster and more effectively.

Shadow Healing

We all have shadow patterns that show up and get in the way of our goals.  The challenge is that these shadow patterns are subconscious and until they are brought to conscious awareness they can repeatedly cause roadblocks to our heart's desires. In a shadow healing, through guided meditation and card reading a light can be brought to the shadow pattern so that the healing can be activated.

Shamanic Extraction

Shamanic Extraction healing is an ancient and sacred indigenous practice. Some Indigenous cultures believe that energy or intrusions can get stuck in the body by a traumatic event, someone sending negative thoughts and energy our way or even our own patterns of negative thinking. This lodged energy can cause physical, emotional or a spiritual wound which can manifest over time into a spiritual illness. 

Shamanic extraction healing can be a powerful and direct way to address the spiritual causes of illness.

The healing is conducted in ceremony and supported by the music of native american flute, rattle and drumming. 

An initial session must be scheduled prior to the extraction to gather information important to the process. The shamanic extractions are scheduled according to certain aspects reflected in the Mayan Calendar of the Sixth Sun as these chosen dates are most supportive for the process. 

Nature Therapy

Spending time in nature has numerous healing effects. In fact, spending time outdoors has been shown to reduce the symptoms of stress, aside from helping alleviate the symptoms of numerous disorders and illnesses.

According to some research studies, adults who spend time in the outdoors have lower levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, than people who stay indoors. Other benefits of nature therapy include: Improving overall physical fitness. Reducing depression, anxiety, and insomnia Managing ADHD.

A reduction of stress can lead to better sleep, mental health, and physical wellbeing. Likewise, utilizing nature as a stress reliever can have positive effects. Sessions may be held outdoors to combine the healing benefits of nature with talk therapy.

Ceremony

There are times in our life when we are looking for support moving through or letting go of some old aspects  or heavy energies. This feeling can come when a person is approaching an important birthday, going through the ending of a relationship, desiring a change in career, feeling ready to let go of trauma or grief or has a yearning to call in more love, joy or peace into their life.

 Many people feel called to connect these type of transitions  with "doing something" but feeling unsure what that could be.

Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)

An emotional freedom treatment (EFT) taps the endpoints of energy meridians (Chi) that are situated just beneath the skin’s surface. Sometimes called “psychological acupressure,” EFT works by releasing blockages within the energy system that are caused by stress, trauma, injury, or other complications.

When left untreated, these blocked energy channels can cause emotional intensity and discomfort. Aside from being emotionally challenging, they often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviors that prevent a harmonious life. This EFT treatment is non-invasive, performed with fingertips instead of needles. Its purpose is to allow individuals to shift energy in a simple, pain free manner.

Guided Meditation

Research supports the positive benefits of daily meditation practice, but some people find it difficult to balance their mind on their own. Guided meditation can be beneficial in these situations because it involves a guide, or narrator, to elicit specific changes in your life.First, the body is guided into a state of physical and mental relaxation. This allows the body to reach a deep meditative state before going on a mental journey in pursuit of a personal goal. Since the brain cannot distinguish between an imaginary event and a real one, the experience from guided meditation feels very real. This process of tapping into the subconscious can carry a beneficial effect on your everyday life.

Reiki Healing

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands,” thus based on the idea that there’s an unseen “life force energy” flowing through our bodies.

If a person’s “life force energy” is low, then he or she is more likely to get sick or feel stress. If the “life force energy” is high, a person is more capable of being happy and healthy. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it’s not a religion. There’s no dogma attached to Reiki and there’s nothing specific you must believe in order to receive it. At Intuitive Healing Journey, we use a “hands off” technique by hovering hands over the body’s energetic field, thus providing energy.
